It's December in Macao and a glistening lagoon set with lavishly decorated lampposts, arches, and pillars present the perfect stage for a Venice-styled Christmas light show.
The Venetian, a palatial-resort built in homage to the famous Italian city and modelled on its sister casino in Las Vegas, comes to life with animated scenes of beautifully wrapped presents stacking, traditional Venetian Commedia Dell’arte puppets dancing, and toy nutcrackers dressed as gondoliers floating across the lagoon.
For the second year running, our team of creative artists produced a mesmerising 8-minute visual play, complete with a host of colourful characters – including Santa himself! Featuring state-of-the-art digital video mapping technology, the projection spanned the entire 43,000 square feet of the Venetian’s façade, magically transforming the atmosphere of the Cotai Strip into a winter wonderland.
Throughout the month of December, the Venetian's nightly Christmas show entertained audiences both young and old as part of a series of family-friendly winter festivities in Macao.
