Under the creative direction of Richard Lindsay, the ambitious task of designing, creating and producing the entire collection of media that appeared on the myriad of canvases throughout the Shanghai Corporate Pavilion as part of the 2010 Shanghai Expo was at hand. This included writing and developing the interactive applications that provided the playful and “collaborative” elements of the pavilion.
Blending an emotional journey with state of the art technology, the award-winning Dream Cube featured a matrix of custom-made LED poles that created the largest 3D LED screen ever built. A Pathway used 25 different walls to create the blank canvas for a walk-through of three distinctive “feelings” of Shanghai, that concluded with the immersive 360-degree theatre. The result was a triumph of audience experience and won the Best Brand Pavilion 2010.
